How Dignified handles information shared by families, funeral homes and other persons who contact us.

Dignified Funeral Officiant Services respects the privacy of families, funeral homes and other persons who contact us.

Information we collect

When you contact us or submit a service request, we may collect information such as your name, telephone number, email address, role or relationship to the service, funeral-home details, requested service type, date, time, venue, religious or service preferences, and information you choose to share about the deceased, family or occasion.

How we use the information

We use this information to:

  • review and respond to your enquiry;
  • assess availability and service requirements;
  • communicate with the appropriate family, funeral home, church or representative;
  • prepare and deliver an agreed service;
  • issue booking confirmations, invoices and receipts;
  • maintain reasonable business and service records;
  • address questions, complaints, safeguarding concerns or legal obligations.

Sharing and access

Information is accessed only by Dignified and authorized persons who need it for the enquiry, service or administration. We may share necessary details with an assigned officiant, funeral home, venue, church or service provider where this is reasonably required and consistent with the requested arrangement. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and protection

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information against inappropriate access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Information may be stored in secure business email, website-form systems, Google Workspace files and approved business records used by Dignified.

Retention

We retain enquiry and service information only for as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, business administration, financial records, dispute handling, safeguarding and legal obligations. Information that is no longer required may be securely deleted or anonymised.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct inaccurate information or request deletion of information that we no longer need to retain. Some information may need to be kept where required for financial, contractual, safeguarding or legal purposes.
